Nochi Studios Releases Kickstarter Campaign For Their Fourth Game Title with AR Feature, “Sweetcore Brews”
Ann Arbor, Michigan — Nochi Studios has launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise funding for their fourth game, Sweetcore Brews. If the campaign is successful in meeting their funding goal, the studio plans to release the title in November 2023, available on iOS, Android, Steam (Windows/Mac).
Driven by their mission of building romance anime games players haven’t played before, the studio has developed AR technology for their upcoming game. The newest title will allow players to spawn characters into real life environments.
“Many players - including a few of us on the team! - bring anime characters to real life events in various ways, such as taking pictures with plushies or figures to commemorate a moment. Now, players can spawn our romanceable characters and hear them speak in settings like at a coffee shop or even before going to bed if they want to be cheered up with a lovely voiced line about how amazing our players are!” said Natalie Fang, director of Sweetcore Brews. “While this AR technology is basic right now, this game is our testing ground to develop this so that our future titles can have even more interactive AR elements with romanceable characters in the future.”
Sweetcore Brews is a choice driven game taking on a witchy sitcom theme while playing with the visual novel category by weaving in mini-games with romance.
“As a longtime lover of magical girls, webtoons, and cute witchy sitcoms, I’m over the moon to write for Sweetcore Brews and to craft its charming world by brewing up a cupful of imagination, two spoons of creativity, and a dash of fantasy, all complete with its cozy, magical cafe and saucy characters.” said Alexandra Mejia, the main writer for the company.
With Kickstarter, the team plans to invest into AR technology for Sweetcore Brews and has plans to work closely with their player base to develop a game that has the intentions of backers’ interests every step of the way.

Millennium “Milly” Blythe is the bewitching new girl in town working hard at her new apprenticeship at Sweetcore Brews, a bustling tea shop managed by a shopkeeper who chats by cauldron, and where all teas aren’t just made with love... but with magic.
As Milly seizes her chance to make her mark in the art of teacrafting, her aspirations lure her to serve more than just a cupful of happiness to her customers, as she manages to capture the attention of popular idol astrologer Zero, who knows a thing or two about serving fantasies and is set on giving Milly hers, as well as Raine Kingsley, a prestigious cursebreaker who never fails to stir more than just Milly’s antics.
With the cauldrons bubbling and the customers lining up, it's truly up to Milly to brew her way towards her dreams while stirring up plenty of romance along the way.
