Guide to Unlocking Soren

Please note: there will be some spoilers in this post, so please read at your own risk!

Hello, Natalie of Nochi Studios here and the Director of Somnium Eleven!

First of all, thank you for playing Somnium Eleven! It is our second studio title game and we hope more and more players will check it out and enjoy our creations! We’ve already posted a guide to unlock Titus so it’s only fitting that we post a guide to unlock Prince Soren! I’ll be transparent about my bias for him because of his mischievousness with a tinge of tragedy. He’s our chaotic good character who’s faithful to the good of society but wishes he could be more selfish to love you more.

START YOUR JOURNEY

The best place to start with him (and with any of the other love interests) is by using the “How to Connect” section on Soren’s profile to make sure that you’re meeting the right people accordingly to unlock him. Using this section, you’ll find that once you’ve unlocked Roman, Yuu, Lysander, Minty, and Titus, you should be putting your focus on getting closer to the movers & shakers of Strata, namely the famous CEO of Escalus, Ravenna, and his palace aide Eiriol. We recommend following our guide on unlocking Titus to meet everyone mentioned prior just once - and not more than once as you should be focusing more on Eiriol and Soren!

GET TO KNOW EIRIOL!

After following our Titus guide to unlock Roman, Yuu, Lysander, and Minty, you’ll want to work towards unlocking Eiriol at the 40k follower mark. Since he’s incredibly busy as Soren’s right-hand man, you’ll want to guarantee a chance to meet with Eiriol in Pretrial 1 to get a head start - such as meeting him sometime on Day 8 in the Librarium.

Given how busy Eiriol is, you’ll find him taking very short breaks at either the Librarium or Pistoria Gardens. However, he’s so busy with not only his normal day-to-day work but now also with the Trials, he can’t take too much breaks so he shows up on very specific days & times. If you meet him, it’s not a bad idea to use an energy chew to spend extra time with him before he disappears back into his mountain of work again!

But if you miss him in Pretrial 1, no worries as you’ll be able to catch him more frequently once the Trials’ logistics are a bit more smoothed out in Pretrial 2. Throughout Pretrial 2, you can find him at a few locations - such as Eos Strata - as you’ll be able to chat with Eiriol while he’s at work since you’re a Solvictus. It’s important to meet Eiriol as much as you can, not just to raise your stats, but also to collect more intel to get a better impression of how to appeal to Soren once you’ve finally met His Highness! Even if you’ve met Eiriol in Pretrial 1, you’ll want to keep interacting with him in Pretrial 2 even if you’ve already met Soren - meeting with Eiriol still gains you favorability with Soren as Eiriol will put in a good word for you, thus building up points in Soren’s relationship bar. They might not amount to as much as meeting Soren himself, but continuing to meet Eiriol on the side can give you the extra boost you’ll need if you’re just shy of filling the bar between your meetups with Soren.

GET TO MEET RAVENNA!

After unlocking Eiriol, you’ll also want to focus on meeting the famous CEO of Escalus at least once - obviously at her pride and joy, Escalus headquarters. In order to meet her, you’ll need to have unlocked Escalus by that point - make sure you have enough knowledge & proficiency and at least 50K followers since not just anybody can show up at the corporation to meet the famous Ravenna Zetrana.

If you’re able to meet Ravenna by Pretrial 1 instead of Pretrial 2, this raises your chances of growing more followers towards meeting Soren sooner, maybe even by the end of Pretrial 1! If you happen to miss her in Pretrial 1, you can find her still in Pretrial 2.

UNLOCKING SOREN

You’ll want to make sure to keep raising your count to 150k followers while also raising your all of your Stats past Rank 1 to be ready to meet His Imperial Highness!

If you’ve worked to unlock all the characters noted in his “How to Connect” profile and even meet them before Trial 1, you might find yourself in the very lucky position to meet Soren before the 1st Trial for some unexpected encounters! If you don’t get to meet him before Trial 1 however, you’ll get plenty of quality time with Soren in Pretrial 2 with his busy schedule. In fact, Soren is available to chat with in 4 different locations! You’ll want to meet him at least 4 times at one of those locations to really turn up the heat with him. The last 3rd and 4th chat are especially important, as he will give you very specific choices about whether you want to stay with him for longer or not.

If you’re running out of time before Trial 2, the best way to ensure meeting His Highness is using an energy chew to revisit him at the same location once you’ve found him on the map!

Being such a public figure, Soren has to be careful about his work schedule so he appears frequently at places such as:

  • Pistoria Gardens in the morning: If he gets to the palace gardens early enough in the morning, Soren knows he might be able to get some peace and quiet before the crowds come and he has to continue with his duties.

  • Eos Strata in the afternoon: Being the Imperial Prince of the Empire of Strata, Soren can’t shirk his duties. More often than not, he’s stuck in Eos Strata doing paperwork or entertaining important figures across the empire. But if he can sneak away in a hidden palace room with you, he’ll try his best to make time in his schedule!

If you find yourself struggling to find him in another location, you can always continue to revisit him in the locations you’ve already seen him. Keep in mind that you may repeat some conversations, but they will still give you the Soren points you’ll need to fill up his relationship bar! (Make sure to check the bar’s progress in his stat’s page!) However, if you want the most out of your experience with him, exploring his other chats will give you more opportunities to interact and get to know him better, especially by giving you more one-on-one time with him!

DON’T FORGET THE GIFTS!

With every S11 love interest, you should always consider using the gifting feature to not just send gifts to your favs for fun, but also to accumulate more relationship points with them! Throughout your encounters with various characters, you'll also unlock new information about their favorite items. That’s why even if you’ve met with Eiriol, you won’t just find out about all of their favorite items directly from them, but from other characters you’ll meet along the way.

You can always check on characters’ profiles in the Stats screen to check on the unlocked likes. So if you happen to gift them with one of the items on their lists, your chances of earning more points with them increases! Keep in mind that there are only 4 romanceable characters in S11, so sending gifts to characters like Eiriol will go towards Eiriol as he and Soren may chat about you while they’re working at Eos Strata offscreen.

As you learn more about the items Soren likes, don’t be shy about sending him gifts! This can be an excellent way to also give your relationship bar some extra boost between the times you meet with him across the map.

SOREN’S ROUTE

If you’ve met all of Soren’s acquaintances as listed in his “How To Connect” profile, gained enough followers, and fully filled up his relationship bar, you’ll have unlocked his story route and be automatically placed in it after Trial 2. As you enter his story route, it’s important to take all of what you’ve learned about Soren through your interactions with him and his acquaintances to truly know the best way to attain a good ending with him. Make sure to choose your answer choices wisely! But if you do end up receiving a bad ending, you can always turn back time at the end of the “bad end” scene to start at the beginning of Soren’s story route - and vice versa if you get his good ending but want to see what happens in the bad end.

And with that... may Deus Kai bless your journey to finding your special romance with Soren!
