Jamie: Someone To Love

When I first told Geoffrey about my rejected vegetables project, he asked if it was another excuse to avoid going on a date with someone.

But isn’t spending my time with these vegetables sort of like dating? They need my love and attention too.

I’ve spent a lot of time with these vegetables, giving them praise, and thinking about them daily...

But I can’t help but wonder...

This isn’t at all like dating, is it? There needs to be something more, something real, something I don’t know how to explain…

There’s lots of people at this school. Could there really be someone here for me?

Will I spot them from afar? Or will it be as simple as bumping into them in the hallway?

This box is heavy with all the vegetables… Did I have to carry them all the way to class?
